Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork
The human body has always fascinated me. Its healing capacity has consistently kept me interested in holistic approaches to myself and others' health and wellness. Utilizing my hands, experience, and desire for knowledge to help facilitate this natural process is an experience I have always wanted to be a part of. This fascination led me to become a massage therapist and continues to motivate me today!
In 2011, I graduated from the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Tucson, AZ. I've had the honor of working in busy massage clinics, a health and wellness center, a resort, a chiropractic office, and in private practice. Throughout my schooling and career, I've been trained in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, hot stone massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, neuromuscular therapy, aromatherapy, prenatal massage, injury recovery & prevention, table Thai massage, and much more. I also studied as a student physical therapist assistant, acquiring a more thorough understanding of the human body, biomechanics, kinesiology, and musculoskeletal pathologies. I constantly continue my education in and around manual therapies, seeking to expand my repertoire and share the benefits.
My practice philosophy stems from my personal credence in the power of touch. With one touch, we connect to one another, and before we realize it, we have already stimulated nearly every biopsychosocial aspect of their being. To me, this alone makes touch one of the most fundamental of our senses. The true power of touch lies within our intention, presence, and empathy within our hearts. I respect this impact we have on one another and choose to use this gift to comfort, connect, heal, and spread compassion.
Along with my rooted philosophy, I take a scientific approach to my treatment. I strive to apply my knowledge of the human body's structure and function, kinesthetics, and clinical reasoning into each treatment. The modalities I utilize are researched and proven effective. In doing so, I can offer my clients treatment to which they can trust to be beneficial. Now, having the knowledge and know-how doesn't always equate to success—That's why I also commit to each treatment my intention, attention, and compassion for you and your healing process.
